Description

This engaging graphic novel follows a sister and brother who find a talking spider in their basement, and then go on an adventure around the world looking for her lost spiderling. That sounds very silly, but trust us, it’s fun. A blend of myth-busting and illustrated spider facts. Covers spider taxonomy, hunting strategies, and types of webs; as well as silk production and the ecological role of spiders.

This is a very fun read, packed full of the sorts of spider facts small nerds will love. The imaginary conversations between spiders and humans are engaging. It won’t make a spider-phobic person love spiders, but it will help those open to learning more understand that spiders are to be admired, not feared.
