Using The Scientific Method To Understand The Colors Of Jumping Spiders

Category: Tags: ,

Description

Why are some spiders so colorful? This case study presents the work of scientists who are trying to understand the functions of bright color patterns in jumping spiders. Students will look at photographs of jumping spiders and generate causal questions, hypotheses, and predictions. Students are then presented with data and use this data to test predictions, draw conclusions, and revise hypotheses.
