Cribellate Spider Silk

Category: Tags: ,

Description

This lesson covers different types of silk made by spiders.  Pieces of yarn are used to model how cribellate, or combed silk, uses mechanical stickiness rather than glue to capture prey.  There are two very nice informational posters about different types of spider silk.
