Description

This resource includes six lessons that teach students about biodiversity in urban areas, based on the book The Curious Garden, by Peter Brown.  Students will learn about the variety of insects and other animals that live in their backyards, as well as biology key points like plant anatomy, soil, etc.

The lesson plans include talking points for teachers and activities for students.

    This is a nice series of lessons for younger students that begins with a read-along, and branches out into having students explore their local environment. Insects are in the lessons, but not the primary focus.
